The Four Points area in Austin has an incomparable number of restaurants with playscapes scattered around, but if you’re like me you tend to stick with the same tried and true restaurants without venturing out to find more. Well, here’s a list compiled to help you venture out and try a new place while keeping your kiddos happy. Win win! Let me know at angelique@fourpointsmom.com if I missed any or if you have additional feedback about any of these places.
Austin’s Greater Four Points Area
As I’ve mentioned before, Cups and Cones has a great indoor play area for young kiddos that includes toys and books. My photo doesn’t serve it justice – sorry!
Mexican food is always a crowd-pleaser in our house and I know many of my friends regularly eat out at Flores for this reason (as well as their awesome playground). You can read about the 4 reasons you should check out Flores Mexican Restaurant in my recent post.
Did you know the Four Points McDonalds has a decent indoor play area for toddlers? There is not much seating in there, but it’s great when you’re in a jam and need a quick, cheap, and kinda healthy (chicken and apple slices aren’t that bad, right?). That being said, as of December 2019, I vowed to avoid this McDonalds at all cost moving forward. Every single time I go there my order has issues and the last time there were 4 errors. 4! I’m done … plus it’s not that healthy for us anyways.
Get your food to go and walk two minutes across parking lot to find a nice playscape.
They don’t have a true playground, but there is a cute play house for kiddos. Plus, they have the best chicken parmigiana around!
Oasthouse overlooks the same patio as Flores Mexican Restaurant. The playground is great!
Rudy’s put in a great playground on the north side of the restaurant (next to the patio seating area). I recently reviewed it in my Dining A La Playground post!
My post about Ski Shores Cafe and its playground fills you in on the food, playground and lakeside views.
Get your food to go and walk a few stores over to find a nice playscape.
And a Short Drive Away
Central Market (N. Lamar)
Read my June 2017 post in which I encourage you to grab some groceries and lunch out by the huge playscape at the Central Market at North Lamar.
Chick-Fil-A **The Four Points Chick-Fil-A hasn’t opened indoors yet, but we’re counting down!
The Lakeway location has tons of seating and the indoor playscape is perfect for parents of toddlers who need to get some wriggles out.
Plus, I don’t know many kiddos who don’t love Chick Fil A Nuggets!
Craig O’s Pizza & Pastaria (Lakeway)
Hat Creek Burger Company (Lakeway and Westlake)
Read all about the new Hat Creek Burger Company location in Lakeway here.
Mangieri’s Pizza Cafe (Lakeway)
Great pizza and a completely confined playground makes Mangieri’s an easy choice! Detailed review coming soon, but check out my recent shout-out in my Friday Favorites post.
P. Terry’s (Lakeway)
Outdoor turf area with sand box
Sundancer Grill (Lakeway)
Table 620 (at H-E-B Lakeway)
