Happy Monday friends! I’m pleased to say that several of you have reached out asking about my annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale post. Don’t fret – here it is! Although I did have to delay my post a bit this year (I had so many trips to book and/or rebook for clients, virtual schooling, and such), I definitely took the time to do my online shopping. Now I’m here to fill you all in!
Because I have a Nordstrom credit card, I got early access to the sale a couple weeks ago. Now, more than ever, is the time to take advantage of Nordstrom’s incredible online shopping and … hello, free shipping! The stores near me (The Domain and Barton Creek) don’t have even half of what I purchased in stock. Nordstrom’s return policy is incredible, though, so I’ve been able to easily run in and exchange sizes and return those items that just don’t work for me. Plus, Nordstrom has social distancing down. They offer free masks (and require you wear one). Plus, both stores were extremely clean and thoughtfully blocked off registers and any areas that would negatively impact social distancing.
In today’s post, I’m going to include some of my favorites from the sale. If you click on a link and they’re out of stock, check back later because I’ve noticed that many items show up as out of stock one day but come back the next. Don’t give up hope. 🙂
What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a limited sale, offering brand-new fall styles at seriously discounted prices, from top brands for women, men, kids and home. It truly is unlike other sales in that these are mostly brand new styles that are put on sale. They aren’t last season’s styles – it’s all new stuff!

Before I tell you all about my purchases and really-wish-I-could-purchase-stuff, I want to again reiterate that this is a very unusual splurge for me. I budget and plan for this sale because I know that I can take advantage of one-time discounts on necessary and annual purchases (like my kids’ shoes for the upcoming school year, holiday gifts for friends and family, bras, etc … ). And of course I do treat myself to some fun stuff too! My birthday is in July and I am like a child holding on to their allowance, waiting to spend gift cards and money in the sale. 🙂
So let’s get to it …
Shoes
Glenda Waterproof Sneaker Bootie
Sale Price: $49.90
After Sale: $99.95
This is one of my favorite purchases this year. You’ll see me wearing these with skinny jeans and my favorite Spanx leggings from the past year’s sale. Plus, they’re super comfy! They also come in a really cute snake print.
Sale Price: $59.90
After Sale: $99.95
Speaking of snake skin, I picked up these sneakers. They are so comfy! I will say that I tried them on without bootie socks and they did not feel great. As soon as I put on those socks, though, it was a game changer. I love how I can wear sneakers yet still feel like I dressed up a tiny bit.
Sale Price: $79.90
After Sale: $139.95
Wow, I absolutely love these sandals. I’m 5’3″ and often feel short and frumpy. I love a little heel and these sandals provide that along with comfort. Plus, they look really cute with jeans.
Sale Price: $46.90
After Sale: $70
Along with Havainas, Olukai makes my favorite go-to flip flops. This is one of annual purchases that I wait until the Anniversary Sale to jump on. I could not justify $70 on flip flops, but they are worth the sale price IMO. They are just so comfortable! I like this black and white pattern and you’ll be seeing me wearing these all year.
UGG Classic II Shimmer Metallic Boots
Sale Price: $64.90
After Sale: $110
Okay, I LOVE grabbing the deals on Uggs for Parker. She wears these all year long. Seriously, I have to beg her not to wear her old pair even through the summer. My aunt spoiled her this year (again) and grabbed these during the sale. Parker will be so excited!
Jewelry
Sale Price: $27.90
After Sale: $48.00
Gorjana is my favorite jewelry line (behind Kendra Scott) and I picked up this cute bracelet. I feel like this year will be a low-key year and a few little pops of color and basic jewelry will help jazz things up a bit!
Kendra Scott Lola Mini Frontal Hoop Earrings
Sale Price: $29.90
After Sale: $48.00
Speaking of simple jewelry. These are perfect!
Makeup
Sale Price: $35
My Zoom sessions are on point now that I have this awesome lip kit from MAC. I love this value and the pink color is actually perfect for me.

Clothing

I love the silky texture of these joggers. They actually somehow make it them feel a bit dressier … okay, I know it’s a stretch but COVID-dressy is different. They aren’t as comfortable as my all-time favorite Vuori Performance Joggers (which if you haven’t checked these out, you need to!), but I do like them.
After Sale: $158.00
Several moms on one of my favorite Facebook Mom Groups raved about this shirt. I bought a bigger size and I’m hoping it will work out. It’s super soft and I think a little shrinkage won’t result in it being too tight. Fingers crossed! It looks super cute on.
Zella High Waist Studio Lite Crop Leggings
Sale Price: $35.90
After Sale: $55.00
I absolutely love these leggings! The pattern is so flattering. Plus, they are just so soft. Love, love, love!
Sale Price: $34.90
After Sale: $59.00
This top is a bit sexy, but keeps everything covered up which I appreciate.
Spanx Bra-llelujah! Lightly Lined Tank Bralette
Sale Price: $37.90
After Sale: $58.00
COVID = Comfort. This bra is perfect!
Gibson Cozy Twist Front Pullover
Sale Price: $28.90
After Sale: $49.00
I bought this in a different color last year and had to get another one this year. Super cute!
Okay, that’s all for now. I’ll try to share my favorite kids finds later this week. Share what you’ve found in the comments below. I’d love to know if I missed something!
