Mt. Playmore is an indoor activity center for families, including a “Texas-sized” playscape, arcade area, young children’s play area, restaurant, and more. After driving by it for the past two years, I finally stopped in with the kids recently. Why did I wait so long?!?
Mt. Playmore is located off of I-35 in Pflugerville (between the 183 and 45 interchanges).
From our house it took less than 30 minutes to drive there in minimal traffic.
On the morning we visited this spring, the place was practically empty. I think there were maybe a total of 7 other kids there. I imagine they are MUCH busier during the summer months and on the weekends. However, the facility did require you to check in and check out with the same group of people (similar to Chuck E. Cheese). This makes me feel much better because crowded spots with tons of children always make me nervous.
The Playscape of All Playscapes!
You guys! This playscape is huge! I wish I had a video of my kids’ reactions when we first walked in because they were over the moon with excitement.
After taking off their shoes, they climbed right in. What I really like is that you can easily view your children as they crawl around throughout the entire playscape.
Plus, there are plenty of comfy chairs for parents to sit in while watching their kids explore.
I was even able to climb in the playscape along with the kids with absolutely no problem. If I hadn’t, I would have missed this priceless photo. 🙂
The playscape also had a few slides of varying heights.
A 1,400 Square Foot Toddler Area
I obviously didn’t do my research before visiting because I was ecstatically surprised to find a HUGE toddler area.
Foster and Parker both enjoyed playing in this toddler-friendly zone.
This area was completely closed-off with waist-height walls that allow parents to view both the toddler area and the big kid area. What an awesome feature for parents of little ones that are looking for ways to entertain both age groups!
Arcade Games Too!
Not only will your kids burn off tons of energy in the playscape, they’ll also enjoy time in the arcade area.
My kids are young enough to only enjoy arcade games for a short amount of time. However, if you have older kids you will be thrilled to hear that you can get a 2-hour unlimited play arcade card for under $12. What a deal!
Your little ones won’t feel neglected, though, because there are several arcade rides for them too.
Did I mention they have a real restaurant?
The restaurant is no joke. I was pleasantly surprised with the food choices, which included several healthy options.
Plus, they did offer plenty of “fun” kid options like ice cream, popcorn, and funnel cakes.
Here’s a link to a more detailed Mt. Playmore menu. We just ordered a pizza. Can you tell the pizza was delicious?
Clean Kid-Friendly Bathrooms
This is somewhat of a rare find around town, but look at these kid-friendly bathrooms!
Can I get an amen?!?
Have you been to Mt. Playmore? Any tips for moms in the area before they head that way? Also, if you’re looking for other indoor activities this summer, don’t forget to check out the Indoor Activities Page here on Four Points Mom.
