Today I’m so excited to tell you all about a nearby park that your kids will love. If you’ve been following Four Points Mom since last summer, you know that I pretty much spent my summer visiting local parks and playgrounds and telling you all about them in my Playgrounds & Four Points Mom posts. Check out my Austin Playgrounds & Parks page to find out more about local playgrounds. If you want to hear which ones are my favorites, I did a Friday Favorites post just about my favorite playgrounds last summer.
After a months-long hiatus, I’m back today to tell you about a playground I’ve wanted to check out for over a year. I first mentioned Bee Cave Park in a What’s Up Wednesday post back in January. But today I’m telling you all about it.
Bee Cave Central Park is located at the southwest corner of 620 and Bee Cave Parkway. It’s about 20 minutes from the Four Points Area and a great added stop to any trip to the Lakeway/ Bee Cave area.
The playground itself has a smaller playscape for toddlers, a large playscape with climbing structures for older kids, and swings.
The pavilion with CLEAN bathrooms and water fountains (hallelujah) is right next to the playground which is always nice.
But, I was most impressed with the vast trail system at the park.
I wish I knew how awesome these trails were beforehand because I would have brought the kids’ scooters or bikes. In the Four Points area, I haven’t found a safe and flat place for kids to ride their bikes, away from streets and without having to circle the same park several times. Load your car and drive 20 minutes and you won’t regret it. When we went, there were only a few joggers on the trails so I felt like kids trying desperately to balance, weaving around unexpectedly, would have been completely acceptable.
I’ve been doing workout videos at home every so often lately and my kids love “working out” with me. Foster loved that he could get in a quick workout at this playground too.
Foster’s at a stage where he loves climbing on anything, especially if I can imagine that a fall from that height will result in a cast. So, he loved the “big kid” area at bee Cave Central Park.
LOL – his tongue is always out when he’s really concentrating …
Parker couldn’t really do much at the big kid area, but she did find some friends and enjoy herself at the smaller playscape.
Her brother even had fun with her on the slide for a bit.
And, of course, the girl loves swinging!

Anyone else love Bee Cave Central Park? Any other playgrounds we should visit? I’m excited to get out and take advantage of this beautiful weather!
