Happy Friday everyone!
Today’s Friday Favorites is going to be short and sweet because we have a really busy day. I’ll tell you all about it next week!
But, first, I’ll highlight just a few of my favorites from this past week when we were visiting family in British Columbia:
1. The Eclipse!
I loved geeking out about the eclipse this week. We saw about an 88% total eclipse, and I thought it was awesome. We just used a trusty Cheerios box and that was enough for us!
2. Canadian Summers!
I love living in Austin, but I could do without the 100-degree weather during the summer. We were in Canada this past week and this is what the forecast looked like:
3. Family Time
Although it’s great (and sometimes necessary) to get away with just the hubby, family trips are wonderful too. Providing my kids with unique life experiences brings me such joy!
I mean how many kids get to hunt for dinosaur bones in the British Columbia woods? Wait … you say that looks like it’s from a deer? Don’t tell Foster …
4. Tablets = Sanity on a Trip
We’ve spent a TON of time on the road and in airplanes the past few weeks and I have to admit that the Amazon Kids Edition Tablets are one of my favorites now. Thankfully school starts back up soon and we can get back to normal (and get the kids off the tablets for more than their allotted (appropriate) tablet time limits.
