A few mornings ago, I had the pleasure of being woken up at an ungodly hour by the cutest white-headed toddler stomping like a two-hundred pound man into our bedroom. Parker’s going through a phase (yes, I’m still holding out that this is a phase and not just “how she is”) and wakes up sooo early. On this morning, though, I was exhausted and wanted real coffee and breakfast that did not involve a Keurig or me at the frying pan. So, we headed out for coffee and breakfast at Cups and Cones.

I’ve driven past Cups and Cones several times and read great reviews about it on NextDoor.com and Yelp, but I was still surprised at how much the kids and I enjoyed the shop. Cups and Cones is located at 2900 N. Quinlan Crossing in Steiner Ranch. The store is super cute and has a HUGE variety of drinks and food.
This morning, the kiddos wanted banana bread and a cinnamon bun (with chocolate milk) and I had a breakfast taco and coffee.
But, I was amazed at the lunch, drinks and treats selections too!
The breakfast options were great and prices fair ($12 for everything).
Parker loved her cinnamon bun plus she could have spent a ton of time “reading” books while Foster played with the toys (which I realized I didn’t get a great picture of – sorry!). There were a few rubbermaid containers with legos and other toys. The selection of books was the best I’ve seen outside of a book store or library. Plus, they were even organized by color to indicate age and/or reading level. Parker’s age-level was on the bottom shelves which made it easy for her to pull out the board books she liked. Foster’s age-level of books were a couple shelves higher and he could easily reach them (without Parker ripping apart the picture books). The organizer of those shelves must be a parent!
We were there way too early for ice cream, but we will be back again to check out their amazing selection of both Blue Bell and Amy’s Ice Cream. Blue Bell is my absolute favorite ice cream (my mom actually spent an arm and a leg mailing me some when I was pregnant in Wisconsin). 😉 Plus, Amy’s isn’t too shabby either.
All in all, I give Cups and Cones a stamp of approval. We’ll definitely be back, knowing that whatever time of day it is we can find breakfast, lunch, dinner, or treat options that will make us all happy.
